Description
This eight-seat dining table is a study in contrast— organic yet refined, natural yet deliberate. The tabletop is crafted from two single bookmatched slabs of Huon Pine, their grain flowing seamlessly from one side to the other to create an arresting symmetry.
Retaining the dramatic natural edge of the timber, the table’s considered design makes a feature of the rare material. Anton’s aim was to go beyond the usual reliance on the timber of natural edge slab tables
to introduce a contemporary sensibility that brings balance and intention to the piece.
The Tasmanian Myrtle used as a highlight in the top and in the base provides a structured counterpoint to the fluidity of the tabletop. The table base is sleek and modern, grounding the table with a powerful sense of lightness. The contrast between the golden warmth
of the Huon Pine and the deeper, reddish hues of the Myrtle enhances the table’s presence, making it a focal point in any space.
“This is not just a dining table—it’s a meeting of nature and design, where raw material and craftsmanship come together to create something distinctly contemporary.”
